As a member of our staff, you will be eligible to for professional development opportunities, including hands-on mentoring, courses, programs and tertiary qualifications. Our Education and Development Unit The St Vincent’s team of 34 consultants and coaches offers multi-disciplinary educational opportunities throughout the organisation. Our education consultants develop programs and coordinate courses. Clinical coaches are role models and mentors based in the ward who guide and support staff to achieve best clinical practice. They work closely with graduate nurses and undergraduates, as well as new and existing staff. Links with universities We are a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Melbourne and the Australian Catholic University. We also provide undergraduate and post-graduate education and placement opportunities for nursing students from various other universities. We collaborate with universities to provide a range of undergraduate clinical placements and post-graduate studies in: intensive care perioperative anaesthetics midwifery plastics and reconstruction neurosciences orthopedics cardiac and interventional cardiology.
