Claire then went on to complete a two-year Otology/Neurotology Fellowship with focus on skull-base tumours, general otology and cochlear implants in adults and children at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in United States. She now works at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital and also in the Cochlear Implant and General Otology Units and at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a skull-base Neurologist. She has a Masters of Surgery in Meniere’s disease but has also been involved in extensive research on cochlear implants and tumours of the brainstem. Claire also teaches medical students at The Melbourne University, helps oversees the Melbourne University Audiology Service. Claire holds memberships with the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and The Australian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and she is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
