Neil graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne and commenced training in obstetrics and gynaecology after gaining invaluable experience in paediatrics and neonatology. He completed his post graduate training at the Mercy Hospital for Women.
During his fellowship years, Neil focussed on maternal fetal medicine (high risk pregnancy) gaining extra experience in ultrasound and the management and surveillance of complicated pregnancies and gynaecology surgery including laparoscopy (key-hole surgery).
Neil is actively involved with the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). He sits on the Examination and Assessment Committee and is a Co-ordinator of the MCQ Written Examination.
Neil is passionate about the education and mentoring of future doctors in the areas of obstetrics, gynaecology and ultrasound. He is a consultant and training supervisor at the Mercy Hospital for Women.
