Derek Neoh completed his MBBS at the University of Melbourne in 1996. He trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at major tertiary hospitals in Melbourne and Brisbane, including the prestigious Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit. Derek was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2009.
Derek is an active member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australian Hand Surgery Society and the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. He has an interest in cancer reconstruction, particularly breast and head and neck, and provides oncological reconstructive services at Austin and Eastern Health networks.
Derek has a strong involvement in teaching. He is a College-appointed supervisor of training at Eastern Health and lectures regularly on Plastic Surgery to University of Melbourne medical undergraduates at the Austin. He regularly attends and presents at Plastic Surgery conferences and meetings to further his skills and knowledge. Derek is committed to providing the best outcome with the safest techniques for each individual patient, keeping in mind at all times the patient’s needs and expectations.
