Mr Sushil Pant is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon working at St Vincent’s Public and Private Hospitals. He is a fellowship trained subspecialist shoulder surgeon, treating all conditions about the shoulder. He also manages complex upper and lower limb orthopaedic trauma.
Mr Pant treats elite and amateur level athletes with shoulder instability; those in middle age with rotator cuff disorders; and older individuals with shoulder arthritis. He uses the latest arthroscopic techniques for shoulder reconstruction; and advanced computer navigation/patient specific instrumentation for shoulder replacements.
Mr Pant completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney; and undertook fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow surgery in Sydney under the tutorship of Professor Desmond Bokor (founding member and past President of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia). Additionally, Mr Pant has been a Visiting Fellow/Surgeon at Shoulder units in Lyon, Nice and Paris, France. He regularly attends local and international conferences to collaborate with his colleagues and provide current best practice non-operative and operative care for patients.
Mr Pant commenced as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at St Vincent's Public Hospital in 2016; there he provides consultant on-call services for complex upper and lower limb orthopaedic trauma at a tertiary level. Along with his St Vincent's Public Hospital colleagues, he supervises five advanced orthopaedic trainees every year – training and mentoring the next generation of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
